The Gloucester County School Board received several end-of-summer reports from division staff during its monthly meeting, which was held Tuesday night in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium. Staff also provided the board with a look at the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
According to Chief Human Resources Officer Amy Stamm, who also serves the district with elementary instruction direction, about 130 students in rising first through eighth grades attended summer school at Page Middle School with 16 teachers and staff. These students primarily focused on reading and math skills over the summer.
Summer school teachers were focused on “helping students maximize the achievement so that they have a strong start to the school year,” said Stamm.
Extended school year services for students with disabilities were also housed at Page this summer with 37 students and 15 teachers and staff participating.
