GCPS Educational Foundation awards 27 mini-grants

The Gloucester County Public Schools Educational Foundation awarded a total of $10,900 to teachers at all eight county schools for 27 classroom mini-grants.

Funds for this program are generated through the annual Chesapeake Bank/Chesapeake Wealth Management 8K and 3K Run/Walk held at Gloucester High School and are provided by sponsors from local businesses and individuals, as well as from event participants.

“We are thrilled that we could fund every single grant request this year. We were so fortunate that the community really stepped up to support the 2021 virtual event. That raised over $12,000 and also funds the annual Teacher of the Year recognition in May,” said Sharon Stone, Gloucester Educational Foundation chair.
