GAYLE MARIE MOSES HAHN

Gayle Marie Moses Hahn, age 79, of Gloucester, died on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home. Gayle was born in Cambridge, N.Y., on August 22, 1946 to the late Carl and Shirley Harrison Moses. Gayle loved cooking. She was known to make a very good lasagna and yummy lemon chicken. She enjoyed reading and caring for her plants. Gayle valued spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Christmas was her favorite time of year and enjoyed that it brought family together. Gayle enjoyed sharing the phrase, “Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be,” which was often spoken by her great-grandmother, Grandma Moses. Gayle is survived by her husband, Norman Paul Hahn; her children, A. Matthew Hahn (Anne), Scott D. Hahn (Cheryl), and Kyle R. Hahn (Shannon); eight grandchildren, Taylor Hahn, Allison LaRose, Courtney Hahn, Kelby Hahn, Marina Bennett, Austin Hahn, Kyle Horton, and Mackenzie Hahn, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Cindy Gottry (Ken), Nancy Alexander, Sue Aiken (Rick), and her sister-in-law, Kathy Moses. On Friday, April 17, 2026, the family received friends at New Life Ministry Center from 2:30-3:30 p.m., followed by the service beginning at 4, conducted by Pastor Jack Smith. The inurnment was private. In memory of Gayle, contributions may be made to New Life Ministry Center, 3450 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes, Va. 23072.
