Gayle Eugene White, 72, of North, Virginia, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 9, 2016.

Gayle was born in Mobjack, Virginia, on November 28, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Frances White; sister, Joyce Kemp, and brother, Jerry White.

Gayle worked for McLean Contracting Company for over 38 years.

Gayle is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred; sons, Luther (Teresa), Allen (Meg) of Mathews, Virginia; daughter, Susan (Michael) of Oak Island, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Mindy (John), Trista (Willie), Kandace (Lincoln), Aaron and Cassie; two great-granddaughters, Kelyn and Kinsley; also two sisters, Barbara Gibbs and Pat Morgan, and brother, Michael White, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family received friends and relatives on Tuesday, October 11 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 12 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial at Windsor Garden Cemetery & Mausoleum, Dutton, Virginia. The service was conducted by Pastor Chris Morgan.
