Gary Dwane Kirkpatrick, 77, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on May 1, 2025. He was born on May 9, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He served as a Sergeant in the Army and was a proud Vietnam veteran. After the Army, he served in the Air Force Reserve. When he wasn’t working hard at his career as a truck driver, he enjoyed spending time outside with his many animals and exercising his green thumb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R. Dwane Kirkpatrick and Vada M. Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his siblings, Kathy A. Kimmick and family, Mayer R. Kirkpatrick and family, and Brian S. Kirkpatrick and family.

He is also survived by his daughter, Victoria K. Gabrielson and son-in-law Rick Gabrielson and his greatest joy, his grandchildren, Nathaniel and Madeline.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews.
