Gardening in the Northern Neck to be held March 25

Northern Neck Master Gardeners have set Saturday, March 25 for the group’s 29th Gardening in the Northern Neck seminar. The event will be held at White Stone Church of the Nazarene, 57 Whisk Drive, White Stone. The theme is “In Your Own Backyard.”

Among featured speakers is Heather Holm, a biologist, pollinator conservationist, and author. She will speak on the topic, “Attracting Bees and Beneficial Insects to your Fruit and Vegetable Garden.

She will also be selling two of her books at the seminar: “Common Native Bees of the Eastern United States” and “Pollinators of Native Plants.”

Registration opens Feb. 1; the fee is $50. Registration forms and instructions will be available at www.nnmg.org/gnn.
