A fire of undetermined origin destroyed a garage on David Drive in the Clay Bank area of Gloucester on Tuesday, April 14. According to Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad Chief J.D. Clements, firefighters received a call for a woods fire around 4 p.m., but while en route were told it was a garage. When they arrived at the scene several minutes later, they found heavy fire and smoke showing, and the garage was destroyed, along with a large number of tools, shop equipment, lawn equipment, a truck bed, and a motorcycle.
