Recipients of this year’s Gloucester-Mathews Farm Bureau scholarships were recognized at the organization’s Annual Producer Dinner Meeting, which was held on Aug. 8 at Petsworth Baptist Church, Gloucester.

Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship from the organization.

This year’s scholarship winners were:

—Shayla Wheeler, who will be studying education at Longwood University as a freshman.

—Brittney Hardee will study therapeutic education at Longwood University as a freshman.

—Hannah Brown, attending Christopher Newport University to study biology as a sophomore.

—Ashley Dough, a sophomore, who will attend Shenandoah University to study exercise/physical therapy.

—Sidney Cook, a senior at Bridgewater University, studying Spanish and business.

—Zachary Lathrop, who is a rising senior at Jefferson College studying EMS.
