Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church has again prepared a free Advent book, Christmas Time, with daily readings from Dec. 1 to Christmas Day.

The book will be available on Saturday and can be picked up at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday at the church, located at 2011 Old Ferry Road, Gwynn.

“Every year, our congregation writes the content for a new Christmas Advent booklet, and local artist Gib Pulley paints a theme-connected, beautiful painting for the booklet’s cover,” said the Rev. Dr. Ed Jordan, pastor of Gwynn’s Island Baptist.

He added, “In the booklet are stories written by everyday people who are in some way connected to our church. The book contains 25 short readings, one for each day in December leading up to Christmas Day. The daily stories help us gain, and keep, perspective as we move towards the wonder of Christmas Day, when we celebrate the arrival of Jesus.”
