Future City competition held for middle schoolers

Registration is being accepted through Oct. 1 for the 19th annual Future City Competition for middle school students. The theme for the 2010 competition is "Providing a Reliable and Effective Health Care Product or System that Improves a Sick, Injured or Disabled Patient’s Quality of Life and Comfort."
The Hampton Roads finals for the competition will be held in January with the winning team representing Virginia in the national finals during Engineer’s Week in February. The grand-prize winners will receive a trip to the U.S. Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala. Engineers are also sought to serve as competition mentors or judges.
