The Mathews High School After Prom Committee has several fundraisers on the horizon, starting with a Waiters’ Night event from noon-7 p.m. Sunday at Sandpiper Reef Restaurant, Hallieford, according to committee co-chairperson Pam Harrington.

Guest waiters will be serving diners and a full slate of entertainment is planned: noon-1 p.m., Mathews High School strings band; 1-3 p.m., Robert and Robin Thompson; 4-5 p.m., the Now and Then Band, and 5-7 p.m., David Shuber.

Specials and children’s menu will be available. All tips will go to support the MHS After Prom Party. Reservations are suggested; call the restaurant at 725-3331.

MHS will host its Power Puff Volleyball Tournament on Friday, Feb. 28, starting at 6 p.m. Each class (freshman, sophomore, junior and senior) will have a team of boys who will compete against one another.
