Full schedule of Virginia Festival of Book announced

The Virginia Festival of the Book, to be held March 16-20 in Charlottesville and Albemarle County, has announced its 2022 schedule of speakers and events. There will be headlining talks by Traci Chee, author of “We Are Not Free,” on Thursday, March 17, at the Center of Developing Entrepreneurs and by Dr. Imani Perry, author of “South to America,” on Saturday, March 19, at The Paramount Theater (both outlined in a recent Gazette-Journal article). Chee’s talk is free and open to the public, but Perry will be joined on Saturday by Ralph Eubanks (“A Place Like Mississippi”) and Jocelyn Nicole Johnson (“My Monticello”) for a ticketed discussion of the fiction of the American South. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for students and are available at theparamount.net.
