Full day of activities Saturday at Holly Point Park

Holly Point Nature Park, located at 287 Jackson Creek Road in Deltaville, is offering activities for people of all ages this Saturday.

The park opens at 9 a.m. with vendors in the arbors, donation-only admission to the Deltaville Maritime Museum and its exhibits, food, the Holly Point Market, workboat tours, boatbuilding exhibits, Pierwalk exhibits, deadrise cruises, model trains, games, and numerous other activities.

Beginning at 10 a.m., Ollie and Sandy Adcock will take the stage in the Open Events Pavilion, offering a morning of “Open Mic” for visitors to the park. “Whatever your instrument, come on out and play with us,” said a press release.

At 4 p.m., the gates will open for the “Groovin’ in the Park” concert, with Clayton Neal and Gary Archer playing from 5-6 p.m., opening for the band Rip Tide.

Voted the Number One “Rivah” band for 2021-2022, Rip Tide will play a selection of ’70s and ’80s Southern/Classic Rock hits from 6-8 p.m.
