Your friendship transforms the lives of cats like River. Handsome River was surrendered at 13 years old. Testing revealed River to be suffering from hyperthyroidism. GMHS’s dedicated medical team spent much time treating River and restoring him to good health. River has met his match and gets to live the remainder of his senior days knowing the love of a family. Your support transforms the lives of dogs like Sullivan. In November 2020, Sullivan transferred to GMHS from another shelter. At just one-year-old, he had seen better days. He was underweight with a heart murmur, and his entire body was affected by mange. GMHS provided Sullivan the medical care needed to survive and the love needed to thrive. He slowly recovered, and his confidence increased.
He quickly became a GMHS staff favorite because of his endearing spirit and joyful personality.
