The Friends of Dragon Run have launched a book, “Dragon Run Book of Fun,” designed as coloring pages for youth and adults.
FODR’s Youth Outreach Committee and artist Kent Willis of Mathews celebrated the launch with a signing event held last Thursday, Oct. 9, at Sweet Tooth Café, Gloucester.
The book was created through support from a state Department of Conservation and Recreation Grant, and is being printed by the Gazette-Journal Printing Services. Featuring Kent Willis’s original illustrations of animals and plants native to the Dragon Run Swamp, the Book of Fun also includes educational content, puzzles, and hands-on activities.
All illustrations were designed to be enjoyed as coloring pages by both children and adults, a release said.
Copies of the book are being donated to local schools that participate in FODR’s Dragon Run Environmental Academy Mentorship (DREAM) program. The Dragon Run Book of Fun will also be available for purchase at FODR paddle events, with proceeds supporti...
