The Mathews Family YMCA is inviting all members of the community to take a proactive step toward lifelong wellness at a special educational event, Building Brain-Healthy Habits, presented in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association. This free program will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the YMCA, which is located at 33 Cricket Hill Road in Hudgins. This session will explore simple, everyday habits that support brain health at any age. Attendees will learn about the important connection between heart and brain health, how lifestyle choices like nutrition and physical activity can protect memory and thinking, and how to create a personalized plan for healthier living. With a focus on caring, inclusion, and community well-being, the YMCA encourages everyone—individuals, caregivers and families alike—to attend, learn and grow together.
