Free virtual mental health workshop offered

The Rappahannock Area Health Education Center and Rappahannock Community College will hold a free virtual mental health workshop titled “Living Well in a Climate of Chaos” from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 22.

The workshop is designed to educate students, practicing professionals and community members on understanding current mental health challenges related to the stress of the pandemic, social distancing and the current climate of rapid social change. The workshop will open with introductions from RCC president Dr. Shannon Kennedy and history professor Dr.

Matthew Brent, followed by keynote speaker Staci M. Young, LPC, Intensive Community Services Coordinator/Forensic Coordinator for the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board. Several breakout sessions will follow.
