The public is invited to join the Mathews-Middlesex Master Gardeners for a free pruning class with demonstration as part of the group’s Tuesday, Feb. 11 meeting. The program will follow the Master Gardeners’ business meeting, which begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Piankatank River Golf Course, Hartfield.

Allan Hull from Peninsula Hardwood Mulch, Inc., will demonstrate the difference between pruning tools, when to prune yard plants, and basics of pruning (where to cut and the different styles of pruning).
