The Courthouse Community Orchestra will present a holiday concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, in the Mathews High School auditorium.
The program will feature a selection of seasonal favorites, including “Sleigh Ride” and “A Christmas Festival” by Leroy Anderson, “Fantasia on Greensleeves” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and “White Christmas” by Irving Berlin. Other music will include “Ashokan Farewell” by Jay Ungar, “Take Five” by Paul Desmond, and “Little Irish Suite” by Leroy Anderson.
The orchestra is a volunteer group of local residents, conducted by Guy Hayden, said a press release. Concerts by the Bay is sponsoring the concert, which is open to the community at no charge.
