Chesapeake Bay Writers is offering a free fiction writing workshop in conjunction with Williamsburg Public Library from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stryker Center, 412 N. Boundary Street, Williamsburg.
Award-winning author Robin Traywick Williams will present “Coloring Outside the Lines: character and dialogue,” which will provide tools for creating memorable characters and writing compelling dialogue. The session will include preparation, practice, and teaching.
Williams is the author of the novels “The Key to Quarter Pole” and “The Last Romantic War.” She holds a master’s degree in creative writing from Hollins University, spent five years as a feature writer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and served six terms as chairman of the Virginia Racing Commission.
