Frederick Gerald Morgan, 70, of Hayes, died March 10, 2013 at home after an eight-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

Gerald retired from Naval Weapons Station as an engineering technician. His favorite pastimes were genealogy and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Grace Morgan; brother, Charles Morgan; mother-in-law, Ella Carmine, and step-son, Johnny Tillage.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Tillage Morgan; son, David Morgan and wife Regena; sister, Flora Clark; devoted caregiver, step-son, Tim Tillage; his grandchildren, Carlyn, Cody, Ana and Nina; two step-grandsons, two nephews, one niece, and sister-in-law, Mary Morgan.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. W. Donald Ambrose was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment with military honors followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
