FREDDIE LEE WALKER SR.

Freddie Lee Walker Sr. of Hayes, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, Saturday Nov. 2, 2013, at the age of 70.

Freddie, a native of Gloucester, was employed by Food Lion. He had a great love for people, participating in Hunters for the Hungry, as well as community pig-pickings. His family best described him as a man that could do anything, and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris Walker; brother, John Henry Walker, and sister, Mary Walker.

Survivors include wife, Sandra; children, Freddie Lee Walker Jr., Pamela M. Pruitt and Christina F. Walker and fiancé Robbie Honaker; five grandchildren, Alan Pruitt, Casandra Lee and Tyler Walker, Gaige and Hunter Honaker; three brothers, Ed Walker and wife Cathy, Willie Walker and wife Rosie, Richard Walker and wife Ann; one sister, Betty Davis and husband Roy.

Funeral services conducted by Pastor Frank Boyd, were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home Monday from 7-8:30 p.m.
