The musical “Godspell Jr.” will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday at Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church at 176 Lovers Lane in Mathews.

Based on the original off-Broadway show “Godspell,” this junior version also tells the story of a group of disciples who help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using games, storytelling techniques, comedy, and dance. The eclectic blend of songs includes such original favorites as “Day by Day,” “Learn Your Lessons Well” and “Save the People.”

The live encore performance by Ware Episcopal Church, the Tri-Parish Youth Ministry, and Francis de Sales is a fundraiser for the Francis de Sales youth group. Admission is by donation.

A fundraising dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for purchase, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
