Frances Monica Spedaliere, 78, of Cobbs Creek, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was the daughter of the late George and Madeline Moscopulos. She was a graduate of Norview High School where she received a Business Degree in 1965 and was employed at Riverside Hospital where she was supervisor of personnel and payroll from September 1968 to October 1976. She was in charge of the fundraiser campaign for Walter Reed Hospital from 1976-1977. She was appointed assistant deputy clerk to the town manager in West Point, Va., and was there from September 1988 to September 1996. She retired from Curtis Contractors as an accountant.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Sawyer; sisters, Barbara Smart and Denise Lawrence, and her first husband, Gerald Lee Sawyer Sr., and is survived by her daughter, Amanda Thompson; son, Gerald Lee Sawyer Jr.; granddaughter, Alyssa Thompson; brother, Moe Malala, and nieces and nephews.
