FRANCES MARIE HAYWOOD WORLEY

Frances Marie Haywood Worley of Hayes, died of natural causes at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Jan. 21, 2015.

She was born Aug. 9, 1934 in Severn, Va. Frances was known to all as a kind and loving woman. She was a hard worker from the age of 9 throughout her life. She always worked with her hands making crab pots, porcelain dolls and was an avid cake and pie baker. She cross-stitched and sewed for the public and her family. To all she met, she was the woman with the golden heart. Frances shared her cross-stitch pictures, cakes and dolls with the many people who were blessed to meet, know and love her. Frances had a huge heart and she bestowed unconditional love on her family, friends and strangers. She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Coley E. Haywood and Lizzie Eure Haywood; brother, Coley L. Haywood; sisters, Sally Haywood Baker, Gladys Haywood Bonniville Steele, Mary Haywood Hogge and Elaine E. Haywood, and grandson, Sgt. Mason Lewis.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Delmar Lee “Charles” Worley; son, William A. Worley and wife Stacie Graham Worley of Dutton; daughters, Lisa D. Worley Lewis and husband Jeffrey R. Lewis of Woods Cross Roads; Kathy Worley Willson and husband Martin D. Willson of Poquoson, and Wanda Worley Isham Walls and husband George D. Walls of Yorktown; sisters, Alice Vernell Haywood Jones and Martha Haywood Shinn Bruette; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Arthur L. Wolz Jr. were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
