FRANCES HARRIS SETTERHOLM

Frances Harris Setterholm, age 82, of Hayes, died Dec. 22, 2012 at the Gloucester House.

She retired from Riverside Walter Reed Hospital where she was well known for her homemade mashed potatoes. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and volunteering at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. Her generous personality and smile were always a comfort to those she came in contact with.

A warm and kind person, she always put others above herself. She enjoyed being outside and working in her flower gardens and cooking and having her family over.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard F. Setterholm Sr.; her parents, John Marvin and Julia M. Harris; her brothers, Hansford R. Harris and James C. Harris, and granddaughter, Jenna D. Crowder.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa S. Crowder and her husband Motie and Betsy S. Jenkins and her husband Lane; two sons, Bernard F. Setterholm Jr. and his wife Teresa and Richard Setterholm and his wife Teresa; three brothers, Marvin Harris and his wife Barbara, Harvey Harris and his wife Faye, and John Harris and his wife Ellen; six grandchildren, Emily, Melissa, Jeffrey, Christopher, Amy and Bradley, and seven great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Alex, Gus, Mallorie, Jake, Jamie, and Connor.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Providence Baptist Church. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton. Burial will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the funeral home.
