Aug. 22, 1928-Feb. 26, 2018

Fran passed away quietly in the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Hatteras, North Carolina, where she had been lovingly cared for these last 10 years.

She is survived by her four children, John Stephen Roberts Sr., Ellen Roberts Abbott, Mary Kathryn Aiken, Sydnee Marie Slaughter, and by nine grandchildren, Steve Jr., Elaine, Molly, Arthur, Hannah, Sam, Charlotte, Oliver and Abbott, and two great-grandchildren, Eloise and Owen.

A memorial service will be held on May 26, 2018 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Wren Building at the College of William and Mary.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations or remembrances be made to the Hatteras Island Cancer Society, P.O. Box 442, Hatteras, N.C. 27943.
