Four public hearings on county board agenda

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will hold four public hearings when it meets Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse.

The regular meeting, which will include a decision to grant an extension of time for taxpayers to pay certain supplemental real estate tax bills, and a presentation of the fiscal year 2011 comprehensive annual financial report, will begin at 7 o’clock. The public hearings will start at 8.

Public hearings include consideration of a resolution that would authorize the conveyance of surplus real property owned by the county consisting of .95 acre in the Severn area; consideration for the county to sponsor an application by the Fairfield Foundation for a Transportation Enhancement Grant to restore the Edgehill Texaco Station and site; consideration of a code amendment to update the real estate tax exemptions for the elderly and disabled and for disabled veterans to address the recent state legislative changes and finally, consideration of an applicat...
