Four hearings on supervisors’ agenda

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will hold four public hearings during its meeting next Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the colonial courthouse.

The meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m., is being held on Wednesday because its regular Tuesday meeting date is Election Day. Hearings will start at 7:30.

One hearing involves event facilities. The proposed changes to the county’s zoning ordinance add event facilities as a specifically defined use and permits event facilities by-right in B-1 (General Business) and B-2 (Village Business) districts.

County Administrator Brent Fedors said that if the ordinance change passes, event facilities will be allowed with a Conditional Use Permit in the C-2 (Bayside Conservation), RC-1 (Rural Countryside),  RC-2 (Rural Conservation), SC-1 (Suburban Countryside) and B-4 (Rural Business) districts.
