Four charged with armed robbery

The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office took four people into custody following an alleged armed robbery that occurred on Lees Neck Farm Road at 4:50 a.m. on Friday.

GSO Lt. Scott Little said it was reported to his office that the two victims were walking on Lees Neck Farm Road when a vehicle approached. He said four males allegedly exited the car brandishing multiple firearms and demanded the victims turn over their belongings. 

Little said during the encounter one of the suspects is reported to have shot at the ground with a handgun. The suspects then fled the area in the vehicle and the victims called 911.

A short time later, deputies observed a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle traveling on southbound Route 17 near Short Lane. Deputies stopped the vehicle in the Wawa parking lot and took the suspects into custody without incident.
