A Four Chaplains service, to mark the 75th anniversary of the heroic actions of the four chaplains aboard the troop ship SS Dorchester when it sank in the North Atlantic, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bellamy United Methodist Church, 4870 Chestnut Fork Road, Gloucester.

The service is sponsored by American Legion Post 75, Gloucester; American Legion Post 83, Mathews; DAV Chapter 58, Gloucester; Middle Peninsula Detachment 1317 of the Marine Corps League, and VFW Post 8252, Gloucester.

The Rev. Kenneth Waclo, pastor of Bellamy United Methodist Church and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Sector Hampton Roads Lay Leader, will be the guest speaker.

The public is invited to attend this ceremony. At the end of the service, a luncheon will be served. ...
