Mildred Hudgins, founder of the Central Village Homemakers, stopped by the group’s booth during Mathews Market Days. Central Village Homemakers is an organization of women that will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in Mathews in 2024. The money the group makes by selling raffle tickets is invested back into the county to a number of community organizations.
