Forrest C. Morgan of Hallieford, born May 5, 1929, passed peacefully at home on April 28, 2016 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 86.

He served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard for 37 years before retiring and working civil service at Fort Monroe. He then worked at Middlesex Farm Supply for a number of years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and an active member of Mathews Chapel Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Wilford “Butts” Morgan; brothers, Paul and Clyde, and sister-in-law, Rose.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn “Ducky”; son, Keith; daughter-in-law, Carol; granddaughter, Lindsay; sister, Mary Jo Robins; sister-in-law, Patty Morgan, and many more family and friends. 

Visitation was held at Mathews Chapel Church, Cobbs Creek, Friday, April 29, 2016, from 7-8:30 p.m. The funeral service was held on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 1 p.m., also at Mathews Chapel and burial followed at Windsor Gardens.
