Forms being accepted for Youth Camp

Youth Conservation Camp applications are now available at the Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District for Gloucester, Middlesex, and Mathews students that are in the ninth through 12th grades during the 2021-2022 school year.

Youth Conservation Camp is a weeklong camp that is sponsored by the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts for a week of learning about Virginia’s natural resources from conservation professionals and faculty from Virginia Tech. Campers will spend much of their time outdoors, receiving hands-on experience in the field of conservation. Two students are chosen by Tidewater SWCD to attend this camp at Virginia Tech each year.

Camp admission, meals and lodging during the camp (a $550 value) are provided by Tidewater SWCD. Transportation to and from camp is the responsibility of the camper.
