Former resident turns hostess gift into booming product

What began in Virginia as a fun thing to make, serve and share has become a nationwide product for a former Gloucester County resident.

Maggie (Ellis) Heyworth, who resided at Waverley, is the owner of Pretty Perfect LLC, So Good It’s Pretty Perfect.

“Though my recipe for pimiento cheese was born in Virginia it was perfected in lower Alabama when I moved here in 2007,” explained Maggie. “It was my standard hostess, get-well, thank-you and fill-in-the-blank gift.”

Getting into business was born out of a dare, she said. “I offered to make some pimiento cheese for an event at a friend’s gift shop here in Alabama. Following this event I began to receive calls asking if I would make some for them. The calls escalated. Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2011 aren’t even memories.
