Former Mathews resident publishes children’s book

Former Mathews County zoning administrator Ted Costin has written a children’s book, “The Cat Who Came Back for Christmas.”
Ted Costin, Mathews County’s first zoning administrator, published a children’s book, “The Cat Who Came Back for Christmas,” earlier this year through Christian Faith Publishing.
Costin, who is currently the Urbanna Town Administrator, will have an author event at the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12. He will also be selling and signing books at the Urbanna Oyster Festival the weekend of Nov. 7.
With 20 years of local government experience, Costin holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Virginia Commonwealth University and two bachelor’s degrees in political science and English from the University of Richmond.
