Former Gloucester resident arrested on child sex charges

Gloucester Sheriff’s Office investigators recently arrested Rodney Neil Nimrick of Andrews, South Carolina, on felony charges stemming from alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. Nimrick formerly resided in Gloucester.

A Gloucester grand jury indicted Nimrick on July 1 on charges of aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration of a child under the age of 13. GSO Capt. John Schick Jr. said the crime was recently reported but stems from an incident that allegedly occurred several years ago.

Schick said investigators are concerned about the possibility of additional victims who may not have previously reported incidents. The case remains under investigation and any persons with information are encouraged to contact GSO Senior Investigator Steve Perry at 804-693-6023 or sperry@gloucesterva.info.
