Whitley’s Peanut Factory is partnering with the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society this month to raise money to help save the lives of homeless pets and provide essential services to the families on the Middle Peninsula.

Donations will be collected at Whitley’s Gloucester Point retail store now through May 27, and can include pet food, pet supplies or a monetary gift.

A representative from the humane society will be at the store from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, to answer questions.

The society will also have a tent outside the store where customers can visit with animals ready to be adopted. “We are excited about this partnership because of the positive impact the humane society has on our community,” said store manager Jinny Dawson, shown above with some of the donated pet items. ...
