The Ware Academy Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Dawn Fleet as Ware’s Interim Head of School, effective July 1. 

The board had previously announced that current head of school Tom Thomas would be departing Ware at the end of the school year, ending his 15-year tenure at the school.

In a letter to Ware families, the board said it was grateful for Fleet’s willingness to step into the leadership role, allowing it time to conduct a careful and thorough search for its next head of school. 

The board further said it is committed to the task of identifying the best candidate to guide Ware’s future and said it was working on forming a search committee, consulting with constituents to identify needs, and laying out the course for the search itself. 

Fleet currently is Ware’s Director of Enrollment and Marketing as well as its Academic Dean. ...
