Flat Iron Crossroads to host Funk Fest 2022

Funk Fest 2022, a daylong festival of fun and funk headlined by Big Tony and Trouble Funk, will be held beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at Flat Iron Crossroads in Gloucester.

Groove Exchange, a local instrumental trio featuring Clayton Ware, Nelson Jarvis, and Mike August, will start the day off at 1:30 p.m. with funk, jazz, and R&B classics, with a fresh twist on some old favorites, said a press release.

The quartet Twin Brothers Band will follow, led by Greek twin brothers Paul and Dimitri Yeonas. Inspired by the great jam bands, the group brings a funky blues rock jam vibe to the stage.

Weekend Plans, an eight-piece Richmond band expresses its members’ love of music, old and new, by creating an electrifying blend of funk, hip-hop, jazz, and soul.
