Five hearings on board’s agenda for Tuesday

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors has five public hearings scheduled for its meeting Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse. It is also scheduled to discuss the county’s legislative priorities for the 2015 Virginia General Assembly session. The regular meeting will begin at 7 o’clock and public hearings will commence at 8.

One public hearing is to consider a lease between Gloucester County and Bay Aging, Inc., for the Senior Center and Senior Center Annex on Main Street. The buildings are currently leased by Bay Aging for senior citizens programs and activities.

There is no current lease in place, so the board of supervisors wishes to formalize the county’s relationship with Bay Aging relative to that organization’s use of the properties for a term of five years, renewable.
