Fish still biting at Beaverdam

The fish continue to bite at Gloucester’s Beaverdam Reservoir, according to Park Ranger Elizabeth Keefer.

Keefer said a fisherman caught a citation-length black crappie on Saturday that was 15.5 inches long, and a five pound, 15 ounce largemouth bass that was 21¾ inches. She said catfish and perch have also been caught recently.

The park is back to renting watercraft and selling bait and concessions. During November, the park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call the Ranger Station at 804-693-2107.
