Fish fry to benefit King and Queen Fire/EMS

Lower King and Queen Fire and EMS has a number of events coming up, beginning with a fish fry on Saturday.
The fish fry will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the Gressitt Fire Station, 4764 York River Road, Shacklefords. The cost is $15 for adults; $8 for ages 10 and under. The menu includes fried fish, potato salad or French fries, cole slaw, hushpuppies, dessert and drink. To purchase tickets, see any member. Advance tickets are not required, but recommended.
Other upcoming events include an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet fundraiser from 7-10 a.m. on Saturday, May 28 at Nick’s Restaurant in Shacklefords, and a Bluegrass Family Day and Fly In on Saturday, June 25 at Hummel Field in Topping. The cost of the buffet breakfast is $20, with proceeds supporting the fire department.
The event at the airport includes food, airplane rides (for a small fee), music, children’s activities, a custom car show, skydiving demonstrations, vendors and crafts, aircraft and fire truck displays. Gates open at 9...
