Mr. Edwards and Son, representing the firms McNiel & Edwards and Reed & Edwards of Reedville, are in the county, negotiating for a suitable site upon which to erect a fish factory. It is understood here that they will purchase the site on the land of W. T. Davis, which was chosen by the Dennis Fish Co., some months ago, and upon which they had started to build, when forced to leave.
The fine new high school at Cobbs Creek opened on Monday with a full corps of teachers and an attendance of 90 children. There has also been a new building provided on Gwynn’s Island which opened last week and is running smoothly. Great credit is due the good people of both sections for their interest in school work.
