The Gloucester High School Automotive team competed in the SkillsUSA Automotive competition earlier this month. The competition comprised of eight stations, including engine measurements, HVAC diagnostics, vehicle alignment diagnostics, Chrysler scan tool diagnostics, Toyota scan tool diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and brake system diagnostics. Each station is timed and the student must solve the problem while a judge observes. Dawson Britton was the district champion and will receive a $5,000 scholarship. He will advance to the state competition in April. Pictured, from left, are participants Britton, instructor Kyle Davis, Charlie Perger, Camden Messner and instructor Barry Childress.
