First Friday returns with Williamsburg musician

Williamsburg musician Louis Vangieri will perform during January’s First Friday, from 6-8 p.m. tomorrow at Arts on Main in Gloucester.

Influenced by performers that range from the Beatles and James Taylor to Jackson Browne and Chet Atkins, Vangieri plays a blend of folk, country swing, pop-rock, traditional, soft jazz, peaceful new age, classical, nostalgia, and original instrumental works. He composes, arranges for guitar, records, and performs in the Williamsburg area.

The event will also mark the opening of an exhibit by artist Dorothy Fagan, who will give a talk titled “Peaceful Heart: An Artist Journey with Color Heals Trauma.” She will discuss a time in her life when she was unable to paint because of PTSD and her healing journey back to art through embodying Earth’s healing landscape in her paintings.

The event is free and open to the public. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
