First Friday

Arts on Main will have its First Friday program from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, at the gallery on Main Street in Gloucester. There will be a special showing of paintings by Parks Duffey, who was commissioned by the late Marjorie Masek for her children’s storybook “Oliver’s Adventure.” In addition, the Virginia Watercolor Society’s Middle Peninsula Regional Artists’ “Summer of Color” exhibit will be on display, extended through August. Live music will be by The Tidewinders, and there will be snacks and drinks available for purchase. One of Duffey’s illustrations is shown above.
