Firm hired to recruit county administrator

Gloucester County will pay $21,000 to a firm that will recruit the next county administrator. The new county chief is expected to be chosen and in place by the end of the year. County spokesperson Christi Lewis said the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors recently entered into a contract with Dallas, Texas-based Waters & Company Executive Recruitment, a Springsted Company. Gloucester Board of Supervisors’ chairman Ashley Chriscoe said he, along with vice chair John Meyer Jr., interviewed the finalists for the recruiting job and decided on Waters & Company because they felt it was the best match for the vision of the board. “Based on what the board directed us, we felt they gave us the best options to find a candidate that will meet the needs of our board members,” Chriscoe said.
