Double Tap Firearms opened recently inside Mac’s Automotive on Guinea Road, Hayes.

Gary McQuillen owns Double Tap and Mac’s Automotive, a business his father Mac McQuillen started in 1984. The younger McQuillen became owner of Mac’s four years ago. McQuillen said he has hunted and used firearms for many years. He custom builds AR-15 rifles.

Also, he sells other types of rifles and handguns and stocks various parts to offer a repair service, and stocks firearms accessories as well. 

He has received a federal firearms license so he can run background checks required before persons can purchase firearms.

McQuillen, who resides at Severn, handles the gun business alone. He is a member of the National Rifle Association.

He has seven full-time employees at his automotive shop. ...
