Finances top Tuesday’s board agenda

County finances will be the main topic of Tuesday’s meeting of the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the colonial courthouse.

Ted Cole with Davenport & Company, the county’s financial advisors, is first on the agenda and will give a presentation on the county’s financial position as it relates to capital planning.

Next on the agenda, Thomas Sawyer, chair of Gloucester’s Capital Improvements Projects (CIP) committee, will give the committee’s recommendation on how the county should move forward to complete some major capital projects in the coming year.

Finally, after hearing the presentation from the CIP committee, the board is expected to discuss setting a potential budget for the Thomas Calhoun Walker Education Center.

In another matter, the board will discuss agenda topics for the Feb. 2 joint meeting with the Gloucester County School Board.
